Recording Movements Admin Processing
Online
When keepers record their movements online or via the web service using farm software there is no admin intervention required. Keeper how-to guides for recording movements below:
For ScotMoves+
How to record an animal moving on to your holding
How to record an animal moving off your holding
For ScotMoves (Within Business Moves)
ScotMoves - Record an allocation
By phone
Keepers can phone in to provide animal movement details if they or their agent are unable to record them online. The Help team use the same web pages to record the moves but with the addition of the notification date entry.
A. Establish CPH and masquerade as keeper
B. Record and submit the moves on ScotEID
C. Log the call in the call management system.
Exception where movements by email are accepted
For ScotMoves (within business moves) where the keeper has purchased animals at a market, the animals may not be available on his holding (market has 3 days to record into keepership but within business moves is 2 days for the keeper) for them to record the ScotMoves - either an allocation or a subsequent move. In these cases only, ScotEID accepts notification of the movements by email and then when the animals have been recorded by the market onto the keeper’s main holding, the Help team record and submit the notified within business moves on behalf of the keeper.
Amending Movements
By phone
In most cases, keepers contact ScotEID if an amendment to a movement is required. Or the Help team may contact the keeper if they are aware of a date anomaly or missing moves.
By email
Amendments received to the email address help@ScotEID.com are processed on the day received or next working day. Please see Amending Movements Admin Processing.
