How the Library content is accessed

Initially access to the Library is ‘Private’. This means that only invited users can access whilst we are building content in the Library. Current invited users are Help, Josie, Jon, Lewis and Olivia as authors with Colin and myself as Admin.

During this time we are able to start embedding guides on ScotEID.

When sufficient content has been created, the Library can then upgrade to a Public site. This would mean the Library can be accessed by all. However we intend to keep the upper floors as ‘Private’ categories which could not be accessed and the contents would not show on ‘Search’ results.

When the site is public, there is then an API available for use and we can share links to steps and guides in the Library which can be accessed without a sign on.

For most access to the Steps and Guides in the Library I envisage that this will be by embedding the guides on ScotEID. Alternatively we can use the API and this would take the viewer to the ScotEID Library to the step or guide. We will need to consider which alternative is best to use depending on the context. However a guide is accessed, only one version of that guide exists. When we update the guide in the Library - all accesses will automatically point to the latest published version.

The ScotEID Library can be found by searching or scrolling down the list of the Dozuki clients that appear.
