  1. The Export Eligibility Checker is found on the menu on the left.
    • The Export Eligibility Checker is found on the menu on the left.

    • Animal product (all livestock species) from 13th December 2023 must be eligible to export. This is determined by the location being listed in an assurance scheme (QMS or Red Tractor) or the location must have a Vet Attestation.

    • A Vet Attestation is completed by a vet on a farm visit and recorded by the vet on ScotEID for that location.

  2. Click on the Export Eligibility Lookup
    • Click on the Export Eligibility Lookup

    • This lookup is public. You are not required to be signed on to the ScotEID website to use it.

  3. For the location you wish to look up, enter the CPH number here
    • For the location you wish to look up, enter the CPH number here

    • Click on the Lookup button

    • Using the CPH of the location, this checks QMS and Red Tractor assurance schemes and Vet Attestations.

    • A Vet Attestation is completed by a Vet, who must be MRCVS registered, on a visit to the location.

    • A Vet Attestation is recorded directly on ScotEID by the Vet. The length of the Attestation is set by the Vet and can be up to 12 months.

  5. For this location, 'Eligible' status is returned and the animal product can be exported.

    • This location has been found to be listed under a member's assurance for QMS

    • Assurance schemes and Vet Attestations both have start and end dates. These are used by the Lookup to determine the export eligibility of the location.

  7. A 'Not Eligible' status is returned for this location.
    • A 'Not Eligible' status is returned for this location.

    • This location is not included in an assurance scheme (QMS or Red Tractor) and does not have a current Vet Attestation.

    • Assurance schemes and Vet Attestations both have start and end dates. These are used by the Lookup to determine the export eligibility of the location.

    • Assurance Scheme memberships can expire and Vet Attestations are valid for up to 12 months. These must be maintained to assure export eligibility.

  8. Enter the CPH of the location
    • Enter the CPH of the location

    • Click on the Lookup button.
